The Office of Grants and Contracts at Ashland Community and Technical College is an integral part of the college's overall mission.
By helping the college to secure outside funding for various projects and initiatives, the Office of Grants and Contracts allows ACTC to offer more educational opportunities and services to the more than 3,000 students who enroll here every year. Among the duties of this office are:
The Office of Grants and Contracts currently has oversight authority for more than $1.4 million in federal and state grant funds at ACTC, including:
Student Support Services, U.S. Dept. of Education, 2005 - 2010, $1.35 million;
Kentucky Campus Compact, Ready and Response Service Team (cooperative effort with Louisiana Campus Compact, 2007-2009, $19,500;
Kentucky Real Estate Commission, 2007-2008, $7,000;
Kentucky Humanities Council, 2007-2009, $8,900;
U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, 2007-2008, $65,963.

Ashland Community and Technical College also has an active Grant Committee, which is designed to provide assistance to faculty or staff working on various grant projects, review draft grants and potential grant applications, and provide oversight as needed on various projects.
